Made of waste
We love waste!
It sounds crazy, but at RESILICA it is a valuable resource and we wouldn’t exist without it. We have incorporated loads of different things into our surfaces and that’s the beauty of producing such a versatile product.
Stones, metals, shells, beach plastic and beach glass, recycled CD’s, spectacles, lava and even someones ashes have all found there way into a surface and each tell a story.
Our waste is already made from waste, and whilst we keep it to a minimum by casting slabs to order, there are always off-cuts from projects, ready to be re-imagined.
These can give a totally unique aesthetic to some of our pieces, as well as reducing our own footprint.
Waste glass comes in all shapes and sizes from the tiny coloured glass bottles, old glass sheets to huge glass sculptures taken out of posh offices in London.
